This course is well received among golf enthusiasts exploring the Algarve. It is conveniently situated near the popular Albufeira resort, making it suitable for inclusion in organised golf trips, being part of the NAU Hotels Group, or for a standalone day of golf while on holiday.

Flat - Nature Reserve

Close to the sea and within a protected natural area. The course has numerous lakes and palm trees are a common sight on the course, creating a scenic atmosphere. The course is known for its well maintained greens and fairways, which are playable year round.

“Excellent golf course located in a nature reserve, next to the sea. The diversity of birds that can be seen along the entire course is stunning. The course is long and the lakes are a real challenge. Flat and easy to do on foot. The game is fluid even when the course is full.

Herdade dos Salgados. Salgados Golf

Salgados is located near the coastal area West of Albufeira. The golf course is part of the Herdade dos Salgados, a natural reserve with a lagoon, making for a scenic and diverse setting. In particular, golfers with a passion for wildlife and birds would be doubly pleased.

Playing the course you can expect a number of challenging conditions that include multiple water hazards, strategically placed bunkers and of course on particular days, the Atlantic breeze.

Hole number 6 on the course is what one would call the signature hole. It is a 515 metre Par 5 with a stroke index 1. The drive requires a fairly straight trajectory to avoid water to the right and out of bounds to the left. Subsequent shots will ultimately depend on the position of your drive but reaching the green in three can and should be taken to be a success.

Pricing at Salgados is very reasonable and there are often some great deals on out of season and off peak times. The course offers memberships that may include the sister courses, Alamos and Morgado.
