Located in Vila Real de Santo António, an 18th-century town with neoclassical charm and historical significance, the course has been the venue for a number of European tournaments, most notably the Algarve Seniors Open in 2005 and the Algarve Pro Tours in 2016 & 2017.
Parkland
The course features challenging dog legs left and right, with undulating greens guarded by sandy bunkers and lakes. Natural creeks enhance the difficulty and ancient carob and olive trees throughout add distinctive character to the layout.

Cima Championship Course
The Quinta de Cima Golf Course is conveniently located approximately an hour's drive from Faro airport, close to the Spanish border, in a less touristic area compared to many other golf courses. Accessing the course is straightforward via the main A22 motorway.
Situated within the Quinta da Ria resort, the golf complex consists of two courses: Quinta de Cima and Quinta da Ria. Both courses feature a parkland style layout with native carob and olive trees, spacious fairways, and a variety of features to enhance the playing experience. Quinta de Cima, designed as the Championship course, offers an exceptional playing experience with consistently well maintained greens. Players can focus on navigating strategically placed hazards to reach the greens once they have adjusted to the green conditions.
One of the notable holes on the Cima course is the 6th hole, a dogleg right where optimal placement between two sets of fairway bunkers around 240 meters away is desirable. This positioning provides the opportunity to clear the brook with the second shot, facilitating an easier chip to the heavily guarded green.
The pricing for green fees at Cima is quite fair given the quality of the course; however, it's important to be aware that additional charges may be incurred for extras.
