Quinta da Ria
The Seaside Course, which is the sister course to Quinta da Cima and named for its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, presents breathtaking views of the Cacela Velha beach, formerly acknowledged as one of the world's most beautiful. The setting is particularly noteworthy, adorned with countless olive and carob trees that form a picturesque playing experience.
When playing this course you can expect a diverse set of holes, ensuring an enjoyable yet challenging experience. The course incorporates five lakes and makes thoughtful strategy compulsory. Add in some of the most heavily protected greens on the Algarve coast and you have all the markings for a bad day.
Hole number 10 on the Ria Course is of interest. A challenging Par 4 with Stroke Index 1, its extensive boundary line stretches the full length to the left. A bunker placed slightly left at around 200 meters further encourages a drive towards the right of the fairway, leaving you with a decision to make. Will you ambitiously aim for the green in two, or opt for a more conservative approach, targeting the green in three? Either way, a decisive moment awaits as you confront the task of navigating over either the lake or the prominent "love tree" standing tall in the middle of the fairway.

Excellent Golf Course...
Excellent golf course in stunning location. Good clubhouse facilities but remember to make sure you pay for trolley hire etc in the clubhouse before heading out to the caddymaster.
