The course lies within an area of parkland surrounded by an abundance of pine trees close to the Ria Formosa national park. Depending on the circuit you choose, you may find yourself amidst tree lined fairways or navigating through lakes and marshlands on another.

27 Championship holes with 3 contrasting playing formats each named according to their individual features.
The Pines Course is named after the abundance of pine trees that abound it. Whilst already prominent a further one thousand trees were planted when the course was redeveloped in 2007. The Par 5 4th hole is of interest here, where risk versus reward will be your consideration.
The Corks is the longest and most demanding circuit with spectacular views of the Ludo valley and the Goldra hills beyond. Teeing off from the first tee offers spectacular views but comes at a price as it isn't the easiest. The same can also be said of the 8th hole, a double dog leg and the cause of many ruined cards.
The Olives was the original back nine and remains the same to this date. It features the famous island hole and is where you will encounter most of the wildlife, attracted by the marshlands and abundance of water. Be sure to bring extra balls with you.
Pricing at Pinheiros Altos is at the mid to high end. However you can often find reduced rates for out of season and twilight hours.
