Experience diverse terrain and strategic water features at the Millennium course in Vilamoura.
As its name implies the course was inaugurated in the year 2000 and comprises nine new holes with a refurbished inward half that previously formed part of the original 27 hole Laguna Course.
Open Parkland
The Course is a parkland course known for its rolling hills, umbrella pines, and water hazards. Whilst predominantly open, there are a few tree lined holes, 3 through to 7, that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Water features on the back nine complete the challenge.

In the heart of Vilamoura lies the millennium golf course, sister course to Laguna and part of the Dom Pedro Collection. Originally the Laguna Course consisted of 27 holes but in 2000 the new Millennium Course was created using 9 refurbished holes from Laguna together with a new set of 9 holes designed by architect Martin Hawtree. Dom Pedro claim the creation of this course cemented the status of the Vilamoura region as one of Europe’s most visited and best loved for golf.
When playing the course you will experience a number of challenges and obstacles, with a good mix of features including tree lined and undulating fairways, tiered greens and water hazards.
The most interesting hole is said to be the Par 3 6th, a mid iron tee to green shot with a narrow entrance, protected by a lake to the left and a bunker to the right, ensuring the need for accuracy.
Of all the Dom Pedro courses the Millennium course appears to have the lowest rates, with discounts available when booking golf packages or outside of peak season.
