Dom Pedro Golf: Laguna

Dom Pedro Laguna is conveniently located in the heart of Vilamoura, just 25 minutes or so from Faro airport. It forms part of the Dom Pedro Collection which also includes Pinhal, Millennium, Victoria and The Old Course, all of which are located in the Algarve.

Since its reopening in 2022 the course now plays consistent across its 18 holes with improved irrigation and renewed grass, improvements which the owners felt were necessary for providing an improved overall experience. The course is somewhat serene and can be described as peaceful with indigenous trees and varying wildlife adding to the experience.

Hole 13 has been classified as the hardest on the course, a long Par 4 measuring 405 meters, with out of bounds and a bunker to the left side of the fairway in play from the tee. The difficulty in this hole however, lies with the approach to an elevated green protected by a large bunker which collars the front left. A long drawn iron or fairway wood would normally work well here.

Pricing at all of the Dom Pedro Courses is at the premium end but there are some offers during out of season and twilight hours, as well as discounts for golf package deals and golf holidays. The most attractive offers are likely to be found when you combine a few rounds of golf with hotel accommodation.
