Located in a national park requires delicate management and Espiche have achieved this to create an outstanding environment in which to enjoy the game. The split level clubhouse is home to the award winning Gecko Restaurant and offers panoramic views over the entire course.

Espiche lies seamlessly within the natural landscape, presenting a unique test for players. Though water hazards are scarce, other natural features add strategic depth to the course and despite its moderate length, the undulating terrain makes for a memorable and engaging round.

“Best putting greens in the Algarve! The course is very neat and tidy but is very challenging to the mid and high handicappers like me. The condition in the dry hot summer is the best I have seen all year and coupled with the friendly and accommodating staff the whole experience was 5 star. If you get the opportunity to play this course and have a similar experience then I would thoroughly urge you to do so. Undoubtedly one of my favourite courses.
Espiche Golf in Lagos
Located in Lagos, Portugal, Espiche Golf offers a scenic and challenging experience set within the western Algarve's natural landscape. The course is roughly a one-hour drive from Faro Airport via the A22 motorway.
Expect wide, undulating fairways that wind through heathlands and scrub, demanding strategic shot placement. The course is known for its excellent condition, featuring some of the best greens in the region. While water hazards are few, the natural terrain and vegetation provide ample challenge.
The 3rd hole stands out as a particularly demanding test. A well-placed drive is crucial to avoid the lake on the left, followed by a precise approach to a small green guarded by trees and heathland on the right. This par-4, measuring 401 meters, offers a rewarding challenge for skilled golfers.
Green fees at Espiche Golf are generally considered affordable, falling towards the lower end for Algarve courses. Twilight discounts may also be available, offering even more value. Be sure to check current pricing and special offers to plan your golfing experience.

The Future of Espiche
Exciting plans are in the works to expand Espiche Golf with a new hotel and residential village on nearby land. The project aims to uphold the ethical and innovative vision of the golf course, incorporating plenty of green spaces and keeping building density low.
At the heart of this eco-resort will be a lively village square connecting a boutique hotel with a unique cultural center. The main hotel building will offer luxurious accommodations, dining options, relaxation spaces, and meeting facilities. Guests will also have the option of staying in stylish, eco-friendly units nestled within the landscape.
This expansion promises to enhance the Espiche experience while respecting the surrounding environment. Stay tuned for updates on the project's progress!
