“Played golf a few weeks back. Did not stay at the resort.
The golf course is well laid out and very well manicured. Thoroughly enjoyed the round. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
On the negative side:
- The greens were quite furry and, as a result, quite slow.
- We played in October which is a peak month so paid top rates. On the particular day we played there was no drinks cart on that day, supposedly because the staff were on leave. Really?
- The sand in the bunkers was just about non existent, resulting in the bunkers being very hard and difficult to play from.
- On a number of fairways, it was difficult to see where the fairway ended and the rough started. There were a number of painted blue lines to demarcate this.
Overall, I would have expected a lot more from a championship course playing in the peak month and paying top rates.
